Clinton to Reveal U.S. Foreign Policy Plan
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke at USAID yesterday, highlighting plans to rebuild USAID’s capacity and technical expertise. She advanced the recently announced Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review (QDDR), which is designed to advance U.S. foreign policy through cooperation between USAID and the Department of State to pursue “smart development.” The text and video of Secretary Clinton’s request is available here.
Clinton will formally reveal these features of the Administration’s foreign policy approach in a speech today. The speech encompasses what her spokesman says is a “forward looking” global perspective. The speech will be at 1.00pm. The video will be available on C-Span.
